Tiffany Chan was called to the bar in September 2017. She has joined our firm as an associate, after previously working with Sheena as an Articling Student from October of 2016 through 2017.
She graduated from University of Ottawa Law School with a Juris Doctor Degree in June 2016. During law school, Tiffany was a teaching assistant with the University of Ottawa Dispute Resolution Practicum. She held training sessions for first-year students to help them prepare for interviews, negotiations, and mediation simulations. Tiffany has also worked at the UBC Legal Aid Clinic. Her legal research includes work on a research project for a Supreme Court of Canada leave to appeal application.
In 2015, Tiffany participated in the Richard Weiler Mediation Competition. She actively joined in negotiations involving a contractual dispute in a mediation facilitated by a professional mediator.
Tiffany’s work with Sheena includes structuring incorporations, drafting shareholder’s agreements, drafting and advising on technology licencing arrangements, real estate conveyancing, and financing commercial real estate.
In addition to Tiffany’s work, she has been enthusiastically involved in the community in a number of capacities. She was an intern for Dress for Success, an Executive Member of the Heart of the City Piano Program and Tiffany was the Assistant Chair for the Harvard World Model United Nations.
Tiffany’s diverse personal interests and accomplishments include being an accomplished pianist, leading worship at church, and donating time to charitable causes. She is fluent in English, Cantonese, and Mandarin.
In Tiffany’s spare time, she enjoys participating in local runs, including the Scotiabank 5K Run. She also spends time hiking throughout BC’s many mountain trails.
