Azat is currently a summer law student at Sheena Mitchell, Corporate Law and will complete his Juris Doctor at Thompson Rivers University in 2023. Prior to attending law school, he earned a Bachelor of Commerce and Master’s Degree with distinction in Economics and Business from the Kharkiv University of Humanities “People’s Ukrainian Academy” in Kharkiv, Ukraine.
Azat has worked in hospitality, first at the Courtyard by Marriott Edmonton West, and later at the West Edmonton Mall, where he was in charge of Group Sales.
At law school, Azat volunteers for Pro Bono Students Canada, has worked as a Research Assistant, and was elected as the Chair of First-Year Law Students to represent his peers and act as a liaison between his class and the faculty administration.
Azat is currently the VP of Corporate Relations at TRU Business Law Society, and a past member of the TRU International Affairs Committee.
Azat was born in Turkmenistan, studied in Ukraine, and immigrated to Canada in 2010. Outside of law, Azat enjoys hiking, surfing, running obstacle course races, playing tennis, and exploring Vancouver’s local coffee shops and restaurants.

Legal Administrative Assistant
Hermes moved from Mexico City to Vancouver in 2017 with his family. He is currently licensed by the Law Society of British Columbia as a Practitioner of Foreign Law for Mexico. While Hermes obtains his NCA Certificate of Qualification from the Canadian federation of Law Societies he is gaining experience in Canadian law working as legal assistant and joined the firm in May 2019 as a Legal Administrative Assistant.
Kyle holds a Bachelor’s degree in History and World Literature from SFU, which he received in 2010. Kyle graduated from the University of Ottawa’s Faculty of Common Law with a Juris Doctor Degree in June of 2015. He was called to the bar of British Columbia in August 2021.
Meng is currently a summer law student at Sheena Mitchell, Corporate Law and will complete his Juris Doctor at Thompson Rivers University in 2023. Prior to attending law school, he earned an Honours Bachelor of Arts in History and Political Science from the University of Toronto.
